Amy Johnson has been a writer for as long as she can remember, starting when her 5th grade teacher tasked her with writing a book for a school project. What started with a fantastical story about dragons and princesses would develop into adventures through space and time, poems about life and loss, and creative nonfiction to inspire.
Amy pursued a degree in education and a minor in creative writing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She attended several years of the Meacham Writers’ Conference. Never once did she stop writing.
In 2017, Amy decided to take her love of writing one step further by joining Wattpad. In the years since making this wonderful decision, she’s gained a large following and met some of the best friends a person could ask for. Her first series of novels, The Immune Series, has approximately 221,000 reads.
By day, Amy is known as Mrs. Amy to thirty 5th graders every year as she shares her love of reading with them. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, and son, Elliott, whether it be outside exploring or playing video games inside. She’s a self-proclaimed expert in Pokemon, a true Hufflepuff, and a TikTok addict. If you find her quoting old Vines and recreating scenes from Avatar: The Last Airbender, don’t be surprised.
In 2020, Amy decided to push her career further and pursue self-publishing. Caged (coming soon) will be her first published novel.
